Day Three
Goodbye Winnipeg, hello Regina! Today was a short day of driving. We left Winnipeg at 9:00ish and arrived in Regina around 3:30pm. The drive was relatively uneventful. I discovered that Winnipeg has the coldest, best quality tap water of any Canadian city (at least of those I've been to)... so good... colder than ice water! Both Winnipeg and Regina are pretty cold, but not so cold that my car wouldn't start in the morning. When we arrived in Regina, we met with my friend Sara who lives an hour or so outs
ide of Regina. Sara and I took a trip down memory lane... we went back to the old CBC campus and explored. We also went to check out some of the places that we frequently hung out while we were here at CBC. When we had finished exploring, we went to Boston Pizza for some food and catching up. The rest of the evening has been spent relaxing at the hotel. Tomorrow we head to Canmore, AB where we will stay with my other friend Sarah. They are predicting some bad weather (snow) in the mountains between Calgary and B.C. This shouldn't slow us down tomorrow but could be a problem when we leave Sarah's on Monday morning. Although spending extra time with Sarah would be fun, I'm a little anxious to get to Vancouver... and would rather not have to drive through the mountains in really bad weather... something to pray for.
