My mom and I arrived safely in Vancouver last night at 6:30pm local time (9:30pm for all you east coasters). The drive from Canmore to Vancouver definately made up for the boringness of the drive some of the other days! WOW! Driving through the mountains is amazing! The map committee was also nominated as picture committee, so even while I was driving, she was snapping pictures... we got a few interesting ones that way, but got a lot of great pictures too. The weather was perfect... better than we had even hoped for. Lots of sun! There was a little bit of snow on the roads in the mountains, but nothing that slowed us down. We didn't see any precipitation until we reached Vancouver, where of course... it was raining. I think that was God's funny way of saying "Welcome to Vancouver... hope you like the rain".
So the trip was a success, and now I'm here. Now the real adventure begins. The apartment that I'm renting leaves much to be desired, but I'm trying to look at the possibilities instead of the problems. It definately has a lot of potential... with a lot of work - some of which may need to be done by professionals :)

Hi Christine (and Debbie!)
I was able to 'follow' your 'adventure' on your blog, courtesy of an email from your Dad. Just to let you know you have been (and will continue to be) prayed for as you see more and more of what God has planned for you, unfolding in these days. Glad to read that you guys arrived safe and sound. God bless you in Vancouver, and you also Debbie as you travel back to familiar surroundings.
Hello Christine,
So glad to hear that you made it! Big hug and lots of love,
Shelly
